Current NYPD Officer Angad Beharry, 46, one of NYPD’s elite counterterrorism officers, was arrested for sexual abuse of a child and possession of child pornography. Beharry was discovered to have paid a Venezuelan woman in Indiana to conduct and film the sexual abuse of a nine-year-old girl. During the investigation, it was also discovered that Officer Beharry also paid a woman in Colombia to sexually abuse her own nine-month-old infant girl and send him photos of the incestuous rape events. The woman in Colombia knew the woman in Indiana who also produced child porn for Officer Beharry who remains a NYPD officer, currently suspended but still a certified officer employed by NYPD. Other photos were found on his phone of adult men engaging in the sexual abuse of prepubescent girls. The purposeful international child porn connection suggests a possible child sex/human trafficking possibility on a potentially larger scale but there is no official commentary on the size and scope of this child abuse network. It is unknown whether other parties were involved or whether other NYPD officials were involved.
