Lawsuit just filed in case of mistaken identity

Kenosha PD stormed into Applebee’s, singled out a young couple with a baby, and tried to violently arrest the man. Police pepper-sprayed the infant in the man’s arms on the ground while beating him severely. The man screamed that he had not done anything wrong and refused arrest. He was forcibly arrested. This attack was prompted by reports of a nearby car crash during which a couple with a child were seen fleeing,. Police canvassing the area spotted the young family in the restaurant and made a violent arrest and attacked the couple as well as the baby. Eventually, the people who had fled the accident scene were located in a bathroom and arrested.

Despite this mistaken identity severe attack on the family and an infant, police charged the couple with resisting arrest and explained that even if wrongfully arrested, people must cooperate until police investigate and free them. Police eventually dropped the charges of resisting arrest against the innocent couple.

The couple has now filed a lawsuit. Link includes bodycam.
