Social media chats with interest in 14-year-old girls, long sexual conversations with teen girls on Snapchat in which he called himself “daddy” and dreamed about sex with virgin girls, racist violent language aimed at teen girls at a stadium whose pics he offered to take for other pedophiles while working security and a big collection of child porn. These are the charges against Smyrna, DE detective Michael Anthony Kealty.Detective Kealty topped this with racist references to black and Latinx children and recurring themes of raping them dominated his online conversations with teen girls. Some of the child porn material was reportedly also found on his police-assigned work cell phone.
Kealty currently also has an excessive force lawsuit by an adult male abused by him during a domestic disturbance call.
Kealty’s attempt to be released to the custody of his wife or parents until trial was blocked by a judge. He remains in jail since Oct. 16, 2023 until his trial.
