OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Clark County deputy Jonathan Feller was chasing a man accused of armed robbery through a neighborhood when he came upon Daniel Sahota and shot and killed him, mistaking him for the man he had been pursuing. Daniel Sahota, the man killed in mistaken identity, had been an officer at Clark County Sheriff’s Office and in his home when officer Feller arrived and mistook and shot him. This was the second fatal shooting for officer Jonathan Feller, the first being an incident in which he and 2 other deputies shot and killed Kevin Peterson, Jr. a 21-year-old black man in Clark County. Feller was cleared of this second killing as well.
