Deputy Tristan Redmond of the Churchill County Sheriff's Office died from injuries sustained in a serious off-duty motorcycle crash on May 2, 2025. He was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno in critical condition and died from his injuries on May 13, 2025. Redmond had served with the department for four years and was a Field Training Officer and the secretary of the deputies association. A law enforcement procession transported his body from Reno to Fallon to honor his service.
