OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 01/07/2026, Uxbridge Police Officer Stephen LaPorta was on duty assisting a driver on the northbound side of Route 146 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. At approximately 12:40 a.m., a tractor trailer struck the scene, hitting Officer LaPorta. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.
