On 12/13/2023, Baltimore Police Department Motors Officer Daoud Alexander Mingo died from complications of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash on 10/27/2015 while providing a funeral escort. Mingo, a 20-year veteran of the department, was critically injured in the crash and remained hospitalized and in rehabilitation for several years before his passing.
