OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 11/29/2023, Deputy Jason Stuart Jones of the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office assisted in serving a warrant in the 100 block of Pine Street in Euless. During the warrant service, a man inside the residence fired multiple rounds, striking Deputy Jones. Deputies returned fire and killed the gunman. Jones was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, where he died from his injuries. He had served with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for several years and previously worked in detention operations. He is survived by his family as reflected in official memorial records.
