On 11/09/2021, Bunnell Police Sergeant Dominic Eugene Guida suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in a multi-agency field force training exercise at the Relay Fire Tower in Bunnell. He collapsed during the training while wearing a gas mask and was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
