On 10/31/2021, Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Officer Joshua P. Micun died from complications of COVID-19 after contracting the virus in the line of duty. He was hospitalized at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, where he died at age 37. Micun had served with multiple departments including Aston Police, Upper Providence Police, and Delaware County Park Police before joining Westtown-East Goshen, where he was named Officer of the Year in 2019. He was also a volunteer firefighter and active in his community. He is survived by his wife and two children.
