On 10/21/2021, Trooper First Class Dung Xuan Tran Martinez died from complications after contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty while assigned to Troop T at the King of Prussia Station located at 251 Flint Hill Road in King of Prussia. Martinez enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police on 04/24/2000 and graduated as a member of the 107th Cadet Class. During his 21-year career, he served at Troop K in Media, Troop J in Lancaster, Troop M in Trevose, and was last assigned to Troop T in King of Prussia. He received the Blooming Grove Service Award for his role in the 2014 manhunt for Eric Frein. Martinez is survived by his wife and two children.
