An accident occurred on Sept. 11, at the intersection of McAshan Rd and Old Tuscaloosa Highway. According to reports, a pickup truck and a Publix 18-wheeler collided at the intersection. An adult male driver of the pickup truck has been identified as Marvin Wade Hart of McCalla. He was 61 and a UAB police officer.
