Lampasas PD arrived at a residence and found a 69-year-old woman in the driveway who told them her husband had shot her 4 times. She was sent to the hospital and police brought Texas Department of Public Safety Swat Team, Hostage Negotiation Team, Highway Patrol and Texas Rangers who surrounded the home. They eventually made forced entry and found a 76-year-old man dead from suicide under police duress.
