Pickens County deputies responded to a fight at 126 Latham Street. Upon their arrival, Thomas Christopher Wheeler fled. He reportedly carjacked a vehicle and fled from police until crashing it into an embankment. Police allege that he pointed a gun at them and they shot and killed him as a result.
