Escambia County deputies responded to a call from Colin West who was having a mental health crisis. Police allege he was armed with a gun and refused to come out. Details remain unclear but police shot and killed him. His wife said he had been mentally ill. She said he had called police in hopes to get help but that police did not handle the situation well, further adding that her husband had been a peaceful man who had no intentions of being violent and needed mental health help when he was killed by eight deputies firing what on BWC sounded like dozens of bullets on him instead.
