Denver's fugitive found a man wanted in a homicide investigation on a major road. Police escalated a chase and he crashed into another vehicle while making a turn. He got out of his car after it spun out and tried to stop another vehicle with someone inside to no avail. He allegedly shot at police who fired back and killed him. An officer had a stable neck wound. Lainez was killed by police.
