Police responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute. When police arrived, they allege Francisco Pena was holding the son at knifepoint. The son had tried to disarm him and had some cuts. Police allege he refused to comply with them and police shot and killed him. Bodycam does not show him holding the son with a knife as the shooter officer’s bodycam is not included, only the officer whose bodycam did not capture the moments leading up to the shooting. The teenage son was very upset with the shooting, screamed at police “I can’t believe you!” and stormed out of the apartment. No record can be found of the son publicly either confirming or denying the allegations that he had been held at knifepoint.
