Open Records Summary :
A man shot and killed Dylan Jimenez after an argument at the Heritage hotel where they lived. His mother was with him as he was dying from the gunshot. Orange County deputies arrived and immediately made an unstable situation worse. Dylan’s brother Bryan Hernandez picked up a gun to try to protect himself and his family as the shooter was still nearby. Police drove up, saw him with a gun and executed him. The mother and family attorney stress that he only held a gun for protection after his brother had just been killed but he did not use it, never threatened the deputies or anyone and was gunned down within seconds of police arriving. Both brothers died in shootings back to back. Only Bryan Richardson is represented here as his brother was killed by a third party prior to police arriving while Bryan was directly killed by police.
