Leonard Brewington, 34, was shot in the torso and groin and killed by CPD District 2 Officer Genesis Steele after he pointed a handgun at her on Saturday afternoon.
Steele was responding to a call for a car driving erratically at the intersection of Madison Road with the driver allegedly nodding off at the wheel.
Brewington stopped and allegedly reached into his car and pulled out a handgun Steele shot Brewington five times and killed him.
