Maple Heights officers or chasing a vehicle that they feel may be responsible for shooting into homes. Or they stopped the vehicle, Datwuan Catchings ran and was shot in his back and killed as he was climbing offense. Police claim that he held something that looked like a gun. He is seen holding nothing at all and using both hands to climb the fence on the enclosed bodycam footage. Family had released the video, stating there was absolutely no danger to the officer and that he should be fired and charged with the murder of Catchings.
