Hyde County deputies were sent to a call of a breaking and entering in progress. Nat Blount, the caller’s ex-husband, had kicked in the door and arrived with a gun. Police said that they arrived and found him standing on the front porch with a rifle. Police engaged in a 10minute standoff, and claim the man would not drop the rifle. They shot and killed him.
