Mobile PD have not taken any disciplinary action other than reassigning the officer on administrative duty. Officer Callegari is also under investigation for the beating of motorist Beezer DuBose Jr. whom he pulled from his car.
The family is asking for support. GoFundMe donations are less than the cost of the funeral for which Mobile PD seems to take no responsibility. The family also requested to "get the story out there." The GFM is linked below.
Mobile PD was again involved in causing a fatal motorcycle crash on 07/09/2024 when a so far unnamed MPD officer without sirens at 11:30 p.m ran a red light and killed motorcyclist Sumner Howard. His case is linked below.
