New Orleans police wanted Steven Fifer for aggravated second-degree battery, battery of a dating partner, home invasion, theft and violating a protective order and arrived at the 5500 block of Hamerick Drive in Marrero. SWAT escalated a standoff and after 6 hours, he emerged with a gun. Police shot and killed him.
