Morongo PD shot and killed Frank Glasgow on January 6, 2024 after he reportedly hit one of their police cars and had a knife. His dog ran away during the intense shooting of police killing him. His friends and family found the dog and said that he had called them sometime before his death, and was very depressed and may have been suicidal, stating that he had lost his place to live, and was living in his car with his dog. He made them promise that if something happened to him, they would take care of his dog. His employer and friends found his dog that had run away during his killing and adopted him.
