Caesar Gomez was sitting in the street appearing intoxicated and mumbling when he was arrested by police for “suspicious behavior.” He was arrested and once in jail, his cellmate notified police that he was suffering a medical crisis but nothing was done. He was found dead in his cell later from unknown causes. It had been clear at the time of arrest that he was very intoxicated but nothing was done to clear him medically during or after arrest or in jail.
