Street in Temple for a report of a suicidal man with a gun. Hartley allegedly had a gun and locked himself into a mobile home with police arrived. Police brought a drone and escalated a standoff. Hartley under pressure allegedly fired a shot at a drone that appeared at his window. Police claim he pointed a gun or fired a shot at an officer also. Police shot and killed him through the window of his home while he was inside. There is no record of any mental health help having been sent instead of a militarized standoff that led to his predictable death.
