Cole Jackson Hughes was shot and killed by police in Oildale on 03/10/2024. Police had arrived because he was “a little intoxicated” and arguing with his wife. The wife allegedly called police once, claiming domestic violence. She called a second time to tell police that he had a gun and an ax. The gun turned out to be a pellet rifle. Hughes had no real weapon on him when killed by a SWAT sniper rifle from across the street.
