A northbound patrol car attempting to cross Santa Monica against the light was spun into a pedestrian crossing at a crosswalk after being struck by a westbound vehicle. The pedestrian was knocked under the vehicle and later died from their injuries. LAPD has not released the identities of either the victim or the officers. The pedestrian killed was described by LAPD as a 27-year-old male resident of the UK.
