Javontae Brice allegedly shot and killed 3 women, among them his mother, and had fled to Florida. Police caught up with him in Hamilton County and tried to approach him when he stopped at a service station. Police engaged in a shootout and killed him. There is a record on prolonged mental health issues before the Manatee County courts involving Brice. He apparently was in need of mental health services that were lacking.
