John Zook called 911 and reported that he was schizophrenic, had run out of meds and slid into a mental health crisis. He was lucid enough to tell dispatch that he had cut himself and was bleeding and asked for help. Wayne PD arrived and fired tasers at him twice. They allege he still held the knife and shot and killed him. His 4-year-old child was present in the apartment when police shot and killed him.
