Peoria County deputies and Canton PD chased several teenagers who were allegedly driving a stolen car that crashed. During the ensuing foot chase, 14-year-old Leron Griffin, a passenger in the vehicle, was last seen running away from a squad car on the shoulder of the I-474. He was found floating dead in the Illinois River, allegedly having drowned while crossing the river.
