A man attacked the Stevens County Deputy prosecutor Smitty Hagopian with a machete, allegedly inflicted severe facial injuries and fled. Stevens County deputies were able to locate him outside of Colville in a vehicle. He allegedly exited the vehicle with the machete and was shot and killed.
