Florida Highway Patrol troopers chased a 39-year-old man they believe was involved in a carjacking in another county. Levy County Sheriff’s Office joined the chase on US 19. An unknown number of law-enforcement vehicles hunted the car at speeds up to 120 miles an hour on the highway. Police alleged that the man fired shots at them. The hunt continued across multiple counties until the man crashed on county road 347 in Chiefland and died.
