Event : Motorcycle driver killed by police chase crash

OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/08/2026, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper escalated a pursuit of a motorcycle traveling eastbound on U.S. 290 around 8:11 p.m. The trooper lost sight of the motorcycle and allegedly called off the chase. Shortly afterward, authorities learned the motorcycle crashed at East Parmer Lane and Old Highway 20 where 20 year old Javan O. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. Austin Police and Manor Police responded and assumed investigation of the crash.
