OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/10/2026, Queen Creek Police assisted in searching the Ironwood Crossing neighborhood after a vehicle crashed and the driver continued moving through nearby residential yards. Officers established a perimeter, issued shelter alerts, and conducted yard to yard searches while tracking the armed individual. Police located him near a residence off Joshua Tree Avenue and opened fire during the encounter, killing him at the scene. One officer was injured and treated at a hospital. Authorities have not released the individual’s identity or clarified what immediately preceded the shooting. The East Valley Critical Response Team is reviewing the incident.
