OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 04/20/2026, a Fulton County deputy attempted to stop a 2014 Ford F-150 on State Road 17 near County Road 100 South in Fulton County. Police said Aaron T. Holliday, 50, of Elkhart, did not stop. Officers escalated a chase that continued through Fulton, Cass, and Pulaski Counties. Indiana State Police said Trooper Abby Russell used a PIT maneuver near County Road 950 South and County Road 500 West, causing the truck to spin off the roadway and strike a post. As officers approached the vehicle, police reported hearing a gunshot from inside the truck. Officers then found Holliday with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead by the Fulton County Coroner’s Office. Police said no officers fired their weapons.

Authorities later connected Holliday to the fatal shooting of Lisa Adkins, 50, in Goshen earlier that evening. Reporting stated Holliday and Adkins previously had a relationship.
