On April 27, 2025, California Highway Patrol officers observed a Dodge Challenger traveling eastbound on Highway 180 near Clovis Avenue at speeds approaching 130 mph. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, reaching speeds up to 150 mph while exiting the highway at Temperance Avenue. The driver lost control on the off-ramp, causing the vehicle to become airborne and overturn multiple times. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Derrick Trujillo, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

On April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:17 p.m., a police pursuit in Houston, Texas, began a chase when Precinct 7 Constable deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding at over 90 miles per hour without headlights. After the vehicle exited the freeway and continued to drive, Precinct 3 Constable deputies resumed the pursuit. The man being chased ran a red light and sped at over 90 miles per hour without headlights until he lost control of the vehicle, crashing.

The occupants exited the vehicle on foot, and while a deputy turned around to pursue, one manwas struck by the pursuing patrol vehicle. The patrol vehicle struck the man, dragging him approximately 10 feet before becoming dislodged. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On April 26, 2025, North Charleston Police attempted a traffic stop on a 2014 U-Haul box truck at Dorchester Road and Meeting Street Road. The driver did not stop, and police escalated a pursuit that continued along Dorchester Road onto Interstate 26 eastbound. On April 24, 2025, officers arrived at Devicco Moss's home in Thomson to execute a search warrant related to a homicide investigation. Moss fled in a blue Chevrolet Silverado. On 04/24/2025, Jacob Faulstich Jr., a 30-year-old White male from Marrero, Louisiana, died in a crash while fleeing from St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's deputies. Deputies made contact with Faulstich, who then drove away northbound on U.S. Highway 51 in a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. Police escalated the situation into a high-speed pursuit. As the chase approached Woodland Drive, Faulstich attempted to overtake another vehicle, causing his Camaro to collide with the front left of the other car. The impact caused Faulstich to lose control of his vehicle, which then ran off the road and struck a traffic signal pole. Faulstich, who was unrestrained at the time, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were properly restrained and uninjured. The crash remains under investigation.

On April 22, 2025, deputies from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on a Lexus sedan near East 18th Street and Willow Avenue in Antioch. On April 22, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a Maxton Police Department officer attempted to stop a vehicle whose driver refused to exit and allegedly tried to run over the officer. The officer escalated a chase and Scotland County deputies also engaged in chasing 36-year-old Michael McCartney of Laurinburg, who was then driving the wrong way on Highway 74, fleeing from numerous police vehicles until he collided head on with a van. McCartney was pronounced dead at the crash site. The female driver of the van sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

Angelica Renee "Bells" Bryan was a 13-year-old girl from Cass Lake, Minnesota, who was killed in a police chase crash on Sunday, April 20, 2025, during a high-speed police pursuit in Itasca County.​
According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), Angelica was driving a stolen minivan without headlights around 1:30 a.m. when a sheriff's deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Angelica did not stop. The trooper escalated a chase, reaching speeds over 90 mph. Police deployed spike strips. The pursuit ended when the minivan veered off the road and crashed into a tree near Highway 6 and County Road 11, resulting in Angelica's death at the scene.​

Family members revealed that Angelica had been placed in a foster home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, just hours before the incident. Her mother, Jeannie Wittner, believes Angelica was attempting to return to her home in Cass Lake, stating, "She told me she wanted to be, earlier in the night, just home in her bed" . Angelica's older sister, MacKenzie Johnson, expressed concerns about the support Angelica received, saying, "I don’t think any social worker gave her the help she truly needed.​"

On April 14, 2025, Henry County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a maroon Dodge Durango driven by Dewuan Hampton for erratic driving on State Road 3 near Indiana Avenue in New Castle. On April 2, 2025, around 9:00 p.m., 61-year-old Charles Briscoe was driving westbound on Fern Valley Road in Louisville, Kentucky. As he attempted to turn left into his apartment complex at Jeanine Drive, his vehicle was struck by a Louisville Metro Police Department cruiser driven by Alyssa Begel. Begel was responding to “an EMS call” in the Newburg area but did not have her emergency lights or sirens activated. Dashcam footage and witness statements indicate that Begel was speeding and weaving through traffic prior to the collision. The exact speed has not been disclosed, but LMPD confirmed she was exceeding the speed limit. Briscoe was pronounced dead at the scene. On March 31, 2025, Arkansas State Police engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle driven by Revail Murphy on Interstate 55 in Memphis. During the chase, a trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI), also known as a PIT maneuver. The vehicle spun out and crashed. Murphy was killed as a result. This was the second fatal TVI by Arkansas State Police in the same week. Police did not disclosed why they chased him.

Fred Eromosele Ehimen, 49, was driving a Toyota Camry on the ramp from westbound Interstate 70 to southbound U.S. 29 in Ellicott City when Maryland State Police chased a 17-year-old driving an allegedly stolen Ford Explorer onto the ramp going the wrong way and struck him head-on. Ehimen was pronounced dead at the crash site. Police had identified the Explorer as stolen and began a pursuit involving the Frederick County Sheriff's Office and the Howard County Police Department. Police allege they called off the chase before the crash occurred. The 17-year-old driver was flown to a trauma center, and two passengers, ages 13 and 16, were hospitalized with injuries.

John Bruce Martinez, 19, was driving over 120 mph when North Little Rock Police and Arkansas State Police initiated a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 40. Around the 145-mile marker, Martinez reached speeds of 130 mph before losing control near the Morgan/Maumelle Exit. His vehicle ran off the road and crashed into several trees. He was killed on impact. Three 17-year-old passengers from Mabelvale were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

On March 28, 2025, around 9:45 p.m., Cuyahoga County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for erratic driving on East 9th Street in Cleveland. The driver, 24-year-old Nigel Wayne Perry, did not stop. Deputies escalated a pursuit onto Interstate 90. At the Eddy Road exit, Perry’s vehicle collided with a second vehicle. The impact caused the second car to fall off the bridge and catch fire. Perry's vehicle also caught fire, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the other vehicle was ejected and transported to University Hospital. The case is under investigation.

On 03/28/2025, Los Angeles police attempted to stop a burgundy SUV suspected of DUI in the Southwest Division. The driver, 15-year-old Glendon Robateau, refused to stop, and police escalated a chase through the Westchester neighborhood. Officers disengaged after the SUV reached extreme speeds, but minutes later it ran a red light at Sepulveda Boulevard and Century Boulevard and collided with a compact Honda sedan. Robateau was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, ages 19 and 22, along with the Honda’s driver, sustained injuries. The LAPD South Traffic Division and Multi-Disciplinary Collision Investigation Team are investigating.

On March 28, 2025, Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s deputies attempted a traffic stop on East 9th Street. Police chased the vehicle that exited the freeway onto Eddy Road until it collided with another car driven by 48-year-old Tamya Westmoreland. Her vehicle flipped over a guardrail and caught fire. She was transported to University Hospitals and died from her injuries on April 13, 2025.

Marin County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a driver for reckless driving in San Rafael. The driver refused to stop. Police escalated a pursuit, during which the man lost control of the vehicle near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Greenfield Avenue and crashed into a tree. He was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and no additional injuries were reported.

On March 28, 2025, Arkansas State Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a Memphis man for a traffic violation on Interstate 40 near mile marker 270, close to Palestine, Arkansas. The driver failed to comply and led troopers on a high-speed chase. During the pursuit, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned, resulting in fatal injuries. The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
