On December 10, 2024, a Minnesota State Patrol trooper attempted to stop a driver for speeding near Interstate 94 and Marion Street in St. Paul. The driver initially stopped but then drove away. Police escalated a "brief pursuit." The trooper allegedly discontinued the chase when the driver exited at Marion Street at high speed, crashing into a concrete wall. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Ahayna Elizabeth Sanders, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tenderloin officers of SFPD chased a vehicle they felt was connected to a previous robbery and bipping auto parts. Police chased the car until it crashed against a wall, killing the driver and critically injuring the passenger. The survival of the passenger is unknown.

A Dunn County deputy began a high-speed car chase around 1:30 a.m. on December 1, 2023 that began in Dunn County. The person was hunted by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office across 2 counties and many miles into another county. The vehicle being hunted at high speed until it crashed into a Wisconsin State Patrol vehicle that was “providing assistance” in the hunt. The driver who was not named died.

At least two law enforcement agencies were involved in this multi-jurisdiction fatal chase. Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the investigation and has not given a reason why this dangerous chase was undertaken.

Laurel PD set up a “safe checkpoint” and stopped 18-year-old Dakota Gray. Police felt they smelled marijuana and the driver fled with police chasing the vehicle at high speeds until it crashed into a tree, killing Dakota Gray. Police allege that they called off the chase just before impact, a very common police action when a fatal crash is likely. During a chase, a person is considered “in custody” with the PD bearing responsibility for the chase. If a crash is imminent at high speeds and the chase is “called off” moments prior, it is just an accident and no longer the result of a pursuit. This pattern is so repetitive that numerous cases can be found in this database by searching for the words “called off.” Dakota Gray, an 18-year-old driver died in such a called-off chase and a cannabis odor.

Police did not state what the dire emergency was that might justify the fatal chase on a busy public street which cost a bystander his life and instead plan to charge the fleeing man with homicide, as is customary in the American justice system.

A sergeant of Auburndale PD was apparently speeding to an emergency when he crashed at high speeds into a civilian car and killed a 5-year-old passenger. The officer was sent on a call where a fist fight had ensued between a deputy and civilian elsewhere. It is unknown whether the event was deemed such an emergency that warranted the risk to the public which led to the death of Jolena Englin.

A high-speed police chase in Hart County, Georgia was initiated by Georgia State Patrol, Hart County Sheriff’s Officeafter a driver attempted to avoid a routine traffic safety check on Georgia Highway 77. The driver, in a white 2013 Nissan Frontier, was initially stopped by deputies at a road check but fled the scene when asked for a driver’s license. Police, including Georgia State Patrol and Hart County deputies, pursued the vehicle. The driver lost control, left the roadway, struck a tree, and the vehicle caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.

Iris Danea Billy was a pedestrian on the road when a deputy hit and killed her. The deputy fled the scene but was dispatched to the accident scene shortly after that when someone reported a body on the road. Officer Joshua Anderson pretended not to know anything about the fatal crash. A piece of his bumper was found at the crash scene. When he went home, Anderson removed the bumper. Police arrested him the next day.

The crash that killed 17-year-old Andreas Davis occurred on November 22, 2024, when he crashed a stolen Ford Fusion while fleeing Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies. Deputies had initiated a pursuit after Davis failed to stop at an intersection and continued speeding. The vehicle crashed on West Anthony Road, where Davis was found critically injured. He later died at the hospital. Two of his passengers, aged 15 and 14, were apprehended, while a third escaped. Davis had taken the vehicle from an unlocked driveway overnight.

The specific details of the officers involved remain unknown. At a McDonald’s at drive-through, 4 police cars surrounded a black vehicle that was in the line and was swarmed by police while waiting for a food order. A police vehicle reportedly deliberately ran into the black vehicles and performed a PIT maneuver. The vehicle fled at high speed with a very aggressive police chase after it.

An eyewitness described that it sounded like a bomb going off when the vehicle crashed into a white Mercedes at such high speeds due to the chase that one of the vehicles split in half. Four people in the Mercedes including 2 children were taken away, reportedly injured and in unknown condition. The engine of the Mercedes was found outside of the car 30 feet away.

One person was declared dead at the scene. Four others were injured with some having to be cut out of the vehicles. A crushed bicycle was seen at the scene with a bicyclist becoming the fifth injured person also hit by the police chase and being transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Noah Jenkins was allegedly speeding and Meridian PD escalated a chase, worsening the speed to above 100 mph. This dangerous chase continued on streets until Noah Jenkins crashed near Highway 39 and died. Garden Grove PD saw a pickup truck in Garden Grove that had some vehicle code violations. This was the reason given for LAPD initiating a high-speed chase from Garden Grove that ended in Costa Mesa when the vehicle crashed and caught on fire with an unknown number of police vehicles and a police helicopter hunting it.
