On December 25, 2022, Gabriel Navarro, 25, was killed in a crash when a speeding San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy crashed into him near the intersection of National Trails Highway and Hibiscus Street in Oro Grande. Navarro was driving his Chevrolet Impala and was reportedly involved in a high-speed collision with the deputy's patrol vehicle. The crash caused Navarro's car to overturn and catch fire, with Navarro being ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old was the lone occupant of a 2021 Dodge Charger when state police attempted to stop him near the intersection of 20th and Holland Avenue per police. On 12/19/2022 around 12:25 am, a Danville Police Officer was on Main St when he observed a black colored Mercedes sedan driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The officer turned his vehicle around to conduct a traffic stop. The Mercedes quickly turned onto Griffin St and crashed the vehicle into the front porch of a residence in the 300 block of N. Griffin St. The Mercedes reversed away from the residence and the driver drove through the front yard and back onto Griffin St and then turned onto Seminary St. The officer observed the driver failed to stop at the red light at Seminary St and Bowman Ave and the Mercedes continued through the intersection. The officer was slowing down and stopping at the red light when he observed the Mercedes appeared to go airborne in the 800 block of Seminary St. The officer proceeded through the intersection at Seminary St and Bowman Ave and observed the Mercedes had left the roadway and struck a tree in the 800 block of Seminary St. Jonathon Connor Gilbert had died in the crash. The vehicle had been stolen.

The driver of a Nissan Altima was chased by police while driving west on Metropolitan when she struck a slope in the roadway at the intersection of South 32nd Street. KHP said the driver lost control, ran off the road and struck a rock wall at a private residence. The crash remains under investigation by KHP. The crash report originally listed this incident as a police pursuit but as of Monday, KHP has changed its records saying this was not a police pursuit. The officer was reported as “following” instead of chasing but it may have had the same effect.

On Monday, December 12th, a sergeant with the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department spotted a wanted man on County Road 4 in St. Wendel Township at 10:51 a.m. The sergeant pursued him, but he fled. Police got a call from a nearby construction site that someone had just stolen one of their work trucks. The same man, still fleeing, took out a street pole while escaping in the vehicle. The man fled again until he crashed into another vehicle in St. Cloud at the intersection of 36th Avenue North and 10th Street North. The third-party driver in the other vehicle never regained consciousness and died from his injuries on December 22nd.

At approximately 12:10 p.m. on 11/29/2022, a Haverhill PD detective observed a motorcyclist pull into the Seven Eleven gas station at 503 River St. without a helmet. The motorcycle was unregistered and uninsured. The motorcyclist then fled the scene on foot and the detective pursued him on foot.
Kimball said other Haverhill Police units were called to help apprehend the man, who ran behind a building at 337 River St. Police followed the man and found him deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Kimball said. He was not publicly identified.

Harris County Precinct One deputy constables were in a vehicle pursuit with the driver of a grey Honda Civic driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the Hardy Toll Road. The deputies drove parallel with the wrong way vehicle in the correct lane with emergency equipment activated. The Civic continued to drive the wrong way eastbound in the westbound lanes of the North Loop. The driver of the Civic then struck a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on. A Springfield PD officer was stopped at a red light on 42nd Street and Main Street when they saw a dark-colored Range Rover pass him eastbound on Main Street. Police tried to chase it but temporarily lost track of it. They said the car was going 80-90 miles per hour. Delaware State Police say a trooper observed a car driving recklessly on Vines Creek Road west of Powell Farm Road and attempted a traffic stop. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office investigated a chase that stretched from Marlboro to Old Bridge on Nov. 9, 2022. Greg Arrone escalated a chase of the car that ended after the car hit several other vehicles on Route 9 south in Old Bridge in the area of Spring Valley Road shortly after 2 a.m. The occupant of one of the bystander cars, 33-year-old Freehold resident Arturo Tlapa-Luna, was killed in the crash.
