On 07/09/2025, a deputy from the Norman County Sheriff's Office attempted to conduct a welfare check on Jerry Redden, 33. Redden did not stop and a multi-agency police chase began. On June 26, 2025, Dominic Fajardo, 19, was killed in a crash at East First Street and South Georgia Street. Sheridan Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office had attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop and Sheridan officers and Hamilton County deputies escalated a chase that ended at Veteran’s Park near East First & South Georgia Street in Sheridan, Indiana, where Fajardo crashed and died. Authorities are conducting a crash investigation and seeking video between 8:38 a.m. and 8:43 a.m. along the chase path.

Deputies responded to a residence on FM 149 after the wife of 77-year-old Jeffery Love found him dead from multiple sharp force injuries, with a machete found nearby. Nicholas Petropolis, Love’s stepson, was identified as the likely assailant. Minutes later and about 100 yards from the home, Petropolis intentionally drove his Toyota into an oncoming dump truck in a head-on crash. Petropolis died at the scene. The dump truck driver was hospitalized; their condition was not released. Officials believe Petropolis killed his stepfather before dying in the crash.

Around 9:00 p.m. on June 25, 2025, Philadelphia Police chased the motorcycle through a red light at Roosevelt Boulevard and Comly Road where it collided with a van. The motorcycle was reported as stolen. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The Philadelphia Police Internal Affairs Unit is reviewing the incident, including video footage and whether an authorized pursuit was initiated.

On June 25, 2025, Cassia County deputies responded to reports of shots fired at Sublett Campground. They located a vehicle near the scene, and the driver initially pulled over before fleeing. Idaho State Police assisted in the pursuit, which continued across dirt roads and was obscured by dust. The vehicle eventually crashed and rolled near Sublett Road and U.S. Highway 84. The driver was found dead at the scene.

On June 24, 2025, officers from multiple agencies pursued a black Ford F-150 whose driver was reportedly threatening suicide by cop. The pursuit ended in Brooklyn when the vehicle crashed into two other cars on Tiedeman Road near Interstate 480. One of the drivers struck in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene. The pursuit continued into a standoff that ended in a police shooting. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation.

On June 20, 2025, at approximately 11:17 PM, a Lodi Police Department officer observed a vehicle driving recklessly near South Cherokee Lane and East Vine Street. The officer activated emergency lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase that ended when the vehicle entered the on-ramp to southbound Highway 99 at Century Boulevard. The vehicle lost control, rolled over, and came to rest on its roof. Emergency personnel extracted the 19-year-old driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger exited independently and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The San Joaquin County Officer Involved Critical Incident Protocol was activated. An investigation is being conducted by Lodi PD, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, the California DOJ, the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner, and CHP is leading the crash reconstruction.

On 06/20/2025 at approximately 6:14 p.m., a Chula Vista police officer was speeding westbound on Olympic Parkway with lights and sirens activated, responding to a radio call. Simon Robledo was traveling eastbound on his motorcycle, approaching Windingwalk Street. The police vehicle turned left into Robledo’s path, resulting in a forceful collision with the passenger side of the patrol car. Robledo suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The officer was evaluated at the same hospital and released. The California Highway Patrol has taken over the collision investigation.
