On February 11, 2024, an off-duty officer, Brett Williams of the Trumann Police Department, shot and killed Stephen Hunter Allen during a personal dispute at 61 County Road 506 in Monette, Arkansas. The shooting is under investigation by the Craighead County Sheriff's Office.

On January 9, 2024, Benton County deputies pursued David Cook after he was seen in a parking lot. Officers responded to a call about a disturbance between a father and son. The son, identified as Joseph McCrackin, was reportedly armed with a knife and threatening others. Officer Hobbs confronted McCrackin, and a physical altercation ensued. McCrackin was shot by Officer Hobbs after the altercation. Emergency services attempted to provide first aid, but McCrackin was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Hobbs sustained face and head injuries but was later released from the hospital. On 01/07/2024, Forrest City Police Department (FCPD) initiated a high-speed pursuit of a vehicle driven by Dillion J. Scrivner on Interstate 40 East in Arkansas. The vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 mph. The pursuit was later lost, but Arkansas State Police (ASP) located the vehicle traveling west on U.S. Highway 64 in Wynne. Upon attempting a traffic stop, the driver briefly pulled over before fleeing again. Spike strips were deployed, which stopped the vehicle near Arkansas Highway 193. Scrivner exited the vehicle and fled on foot, while the passenger was apprehended without incident.

A child later found Scrivner inside a parked vehicle at a nearby home. Upon being found, Scrivner fled on foot again, and assistance from an ASP K-9 unit and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission was requested. He was found in a nearby field with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Troopers rendered aid until emergency personnel arrived. Scrivner was transported to St. Bernards CrossRidge Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:21 p.m. His remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

On January 1, 2024, at approximately 2:04 p.m., the Saline County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) notified the Arkansas State Police (ASP) of a high-speed pursuit involving a white 1996 BMW driven by Aaron T. Watson, 35, of Hot Springs. The vehicle was traveling on the Interstate 30 service road near the 128-mile marker in Benton. An ASP Trooper employed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver on Interstate 30 near the University Avenue exit in Little Rock, ending the pursuit. Watson fired at law enforcement officers, who returned fire, striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No ASP Troopers or Benton Police officers were injured. Watson was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and was driving a vehicle with fictitious plates. An investigative case file was presented to the prosecuting attorney to determine whether the use of deadly force was consistent with Arkansas law.

Little Rock PD arrived at a Walmart to find that an off-duty LRPD officer moonlighting as Walmart security had shot and killed a man. Police allege that he tackled a shoplifter, a fight ensued and the officer was injured by some sort of knife and shot and killed McDaniels.

Fayetteville PD traffic-stopped Scotty Stacie and allege he backed up the vehicle during the traffic stop, causing the officer to shoot and kill him. Stacey was described by his friends as a “good guy”, a race car driver, someone who bothered nobody. Fayetteville PD claims Stacey landed in a field and reversed to try to get out when a deputy appeared behind him, claimed Stacey was “driving toward him” and shot and killed him in the moving vehicle. Police did not release their bodycam and dashcam videos and this is a still unproven police narrative. Stacey had been charged with personal drug possession and fleeing from police months before his death. He was well-known in the area and police may have targeted him because of old charges.

On November 21, 2023, a male individual was killed in a crash following a police chase in Hickory Hill, Arkansas. The chase occurred on Kirby Street in Conway County. The specific details of the officers involved remain unknown. The individual was involved in a high-speed pursuit initiated by the Hickory Hill Police Department, which ended when the individual lost control of the vehicle, crashing and resulting in death. The cause of death was related to the vehicle crash during the pursuit.

Conway PD and Faulkner County deputies arrived to the residence of Allen Seibert on Old Morrilton Highway where they allege that he opened the door with a gun. They shot and killed him. Police did not say why they raided the home. Seibert had previously been arrested for tax evasion and being involved in a gambling operation in 2017.

Jeremy Dale Adams was allegedly intoxicated and making “terroristic threats” when a deputy first tasered him, then shot several bullets into him. It is unknown what terroristic words he had spoken to cause him to be killed.

White County deputies traffic-stopped a man and some sort of standoff ensued with police. Police claim the man pointed a gun. They shot and killed him. So far, no bodycam or other evidence can be found to document the police narrative.

A man wanted in Indiana for sexual offenses was seen in front of a liquor store in Fort Smith, Arkansas and during attempt to arrest him, police fired a taser at him and he produced a knife in self-defense. After that, he was shot and killed.

Around 11:15 p.m. on October 21, 2023, Bay PD Officer Shull informed dispatch that he was “in pursuit of a side-by-side.” Several minutes into it, Shull informed dispatch that he had hit the driver. In his next radio call, Shull mused that the vehicle “may be stolen” and he justified this assumption by stating that “it is brand new.” It is not known what type of vehicle it had been. Only 26 seconds later, Officer Shull again radio’d dispatch and announced “I just hit him. Dispatch. He wrecked out.”

Less than a minute later, Officer Shull was back on the radio, requesting an ambulance and then asking for a medical helicopter because McMasters was “bleeding from the nose and mouth.” A total of 80 seconds after the crash, he announced that McMasters was “10-7”, the code for "deceased."

The family of Steven Kyle McMasters disputes the officer’s remarks that the vehicle may be stolen which was the assumption that led Officer Shull to make the fatal decision to chase the vehicle on an apparent profiling assumption. Officer Shull then announced beer “near” the side-by-side, formulating the next accusation against the deceased motorist. The family strongly denies the claims about intoxication and has hired a lawyer.

Bay Police Chief declined to release information about the incident. The City of Bay has cited an ongoing investigation into their inability to remove the incident’s body and dash camera footage. The Arkansas State Police are currently involved in the investigation.

Bay PD Police Chief Keith Milam declined giving more information about the crash. He also refused to allow the City of Bay to investigate the bodycam and dashcam footage.

Chief Milam initially stated the officer would not be placed on leave for this incident. This was changed later when the case began being dissected in the media and Shull was then placed on paid administrative leave.

Chief Milam stated he could not comment because Arkansas State Police were investigating the critical incident. Arkansas State Police were questioned about this by media and said they were not aware of any investigation. Bodycam and dashcam allegedly exist and have again been requested by media but so far were met with the unwillingness of the Police Chief to share these records. Arkansas State Police engaged in a high-speed chase after two people who they felt were involved in a shooting in another county. The chase began in Crittenden County, spanned across Poinsett County and ended in Cross County where police placed spike strips on Highway 75. Police state that the two people fired shots at them and that police shot back. Police shot and killed Tammi Naler, 47, and injured 54-year-old William Burchett.

Michael Wayne Owens was riding his Yamaha motorcycle and making a left turn when he was hit and killed by Arkansas State trooper Brandon Trewyn. Police report that the weather was cloudy and visibility may have ben reduced. It is unknown what the speed of both vehicles was.

Three Osceola Police officers arrived at the home around 9:38 a.m. after they found a vehicle there that had been driven by Keivion Jones who reportedly pointed a rifle at an employee at a local convenience store earlier that morning. Police allege that Jones came out of the home and pointed a rifle at them. They shot and killed him. The killing was justified by the Second Judicial District Prosecutor Sonia F. Hagood.

Conway PD said they encountered Williams during a domestic disturbance call reported at the McDonald’s on Oak Street in Conway around 11:44 a.m. where a man and woman were reported to have been fighting in a car in the parking lot. Williams exited the car and spoke to police when they arrived. They asked for his ID and he returned to the car, started rummaging through it and did not exit on command. Police pulled him from the vehicle. He started running. Officers found him behind a residence on Gum Street where he started showing signs of medical distress. He died in the hospital soon after.

Strangely, his autopsy was completed in December of 2023 and his death was ruled "accidental" while his sickle cell trait and alleged methamphetamine in his system were alleged to have contributed. This still leaves the main cause of death undisclosed trauma in police custody. Sickle cell trait is not a lethal condition, merely a trait that can exacerbate sickle cell crisis. While there was allegedly some meth in his system, it was not reported as leading cause of death. His cause of death was concealed by these findings by the coroner and remains an unknown "accident" while handcuffed in police custody.

The Ozark CountySheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a trespassing in Baxter County at a residence on State Highway 201 North. Minutes later, the sheriff’s office received a second call about a loud disturbance at the same residence with people shouting and arguing.
Baxter County deputies arrived on the scene at approximately 10:10 a.m. and saw a man leaving on a motorcycle. The motorcycle traveled down Baxter County Road 35, and the deputies escalated a chase. The motorcycle and one of the deputy’s vehicles collided. The motorcyclist died.

Treveon McDaniel was found hanging in his single-person cell at the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center. He was pronounced dead at 12:26 p.m.

On June 8, 2023, at approximately 11:45 a.m., detention staff at the W.C. "Dub" Brassell Adult Detention Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, discovered 22-year-old detainee Treveon McDaniel hanging in his locked single-person cell. Staff transported McDaniel to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:26 p.m. McDaniel had been incarcerated since May 25, 2023, on charges including possession of a firearm by certain persons and aggravated assault. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has requested the Arkansas State Police to conduct an investigation into the incident.

On May 29, 2023, Perry Gene Eaves Jr., a 42-year-old detainee at St. Francis County Jail in Forrest City, Arkansas, was found unresponsive in his cell approximately one hour after being detained. Earlier that day, Eaves sought medical care at the Forrest City Medical Center but was turned away. Refusing to leave the hospital due to severe distress and fear for his life, Eaves was arrested by Forrest City Police officers for trespassing.
Body camera footage revealed Eaves pleading for his life, repeatedly stating, “I am not trying to disobey… Let me live,” and “Please don’t let me die.” Despite visibly bleeding from his mouth, officers reassured him that he would "be fine" and dismissed his pleas, saying, “You’re a dumb***,” while laughing. Eaves retched, vomited, and begged to return to the hospital, stating, “I’m bleeding to death. Please help me live.” Instead, he was handcuffed, carried to a patrol car, and transported to the jail.
An attorney for Eaves’ family revealed that Eaves was dehydrated, became hypovolemic, and suffered a heart attack. Eaves’ family has filed a lawsuit against the St. Francis County Jail, alleging negligence and mistreatment. It remains unclear why Eaves was bleeding profusely, and the lack of immediate medical attention has raised serious questions about the actions of the officers involved.

US Marshals arrived to arrest Zachry Seward for possession of firearms and were at Seward's home in Washington County when he shot at them. Police including U.S. Marshal Personnel and State and Local Task Force shot back and killed him. No officers were charged.

On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, El Dorado PD received a call reporting a homicide that took place on West Wesson Street. During the investigation, Lance Lockett was shot and killed by police. No more detail is available so far.

Joseph Gonzalez, 27, of Cove, Ark., who was wanted for outstanding warrants in Texas was in front of a Mexican restaurant when he tried to flee and hit an officer with his car. The officer fired 1 shot into the car. Gonzales lost control of the vehicle and died shortly thereafter from the gunshot wound.
