On April 5, 2024, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office Thermal Station responded to a "man with a knife" call in the 44000 block of Vista Dunes Lane in La Quinta, California. Upon arrival, deputies encountered Ramiro Tapia Gonzales, 28, who was reportedly armed with a large knife and behaving aggressively.
