Anaheim PD were sent on a call about a “woman with rifle.” Police arrived, got into some sort of argument with her and shot and killed Abigail Lopez who held a "BB or pellet gun that resembled a legitimate short-barrel assault weapon." She was not armed with any deadly weapon when killed and there is no record of her threatening anyone. BWC is needed to understand this event better. Police arrived and apparently did not “fear for their lives” when they saw her holding the pellet gun or they would likely not have stood around arguing with Lopez for a while if they felt in mortal danger, as eyewitnesses report an argument preceding the deliberate center mass kill shot described. It is unclear how the “argument” with police escalated into a shooting over a pellet gun after the argument.

Inglewood PD allege that 33-year-old Ivan Mora had a knife tied to a stick who “lunged” at police. He was shot and killed during a mental health crisis call.
Family vehemently denies the weapons allegations and relates that Ivan Mora had schizophrenia, needed competent mental health help and that the situation was handled incompetently with respect to the needs of a mental health crisis. Bystanders recount that he was tasered, had beanbags shot at them before he was shot and killed.
“Instead of calling for the appropriate resources, instead of calling for the mental health team, they rushed in guns blazing and they escalated a situation which require more compassion, more empathy and a way to deal with individuals who have such conditions,” the family's lawyer Christian Contreras told media.
A crowd of demonstrators, led by Cliff Smith with the Coalition for Community Control Over Police, was demanding greater transparency in the police department, as well as asking for the names of the officers involved in the fatal shooting.

On Sept. 17, 2023, at approximately 7:30 a.m. California Highway Patrol attempted a traffic stop for a cracked windshield and failure to wear a seatbelt on California State Route 96 in Hoopa. The vehicle did not stop and troopers escalated a chase, ending in the area of the 12500 block of SR-96.
William Burrell Nelson exited and fled on foot. Officer Johnson chased him approximately 200 yards before overtaking him. A struggle reportedly ensued as the officer tasered and attempted to take the man into custody and then shot and killed him.
It is believed that the man had been unarmed. He was deliberately killed for a combined total of a cracked windshield, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to stop for police.

A man was reported for a disturbance and Stockton PD arrived. The man refused to engage with police and walked past them. They shot and killed him. Police claim he “pulled a gun from his pants”, adding that the "gun was as long as his leg", further adding that he had “engaged in a shooting with police.” This initial claim was changed to "he reached for his waistband," leaving it unclear how a very long gun could fit in his waistband. The only “gun” found was a plastic replica.
Bodycam video was released on 10/26/2023 and is linked below, showing only a man in the darkness with his back turned trying his best to get away from police with guns pointed at him until he is gunned down. No long guns or other guns can be seen in the video which is linked below. The video is heavily edited, omitting how the situation came about and cuts off at the sound of police gunfire.
