Newnan PD saw a Corvette with dark window tint and took up chase. The chase escalated until the man stopped. Police released a K9 and allege that he exited the car and came toward them with a knife and injured the K9.
Bystander video later showed a very different narrative in which the car stopped at the end of the chase, deputies are seen busting out the car windows, sending a K9 into the vehicle that dragged a black man out. The man ran away from the car to escape the dog that was biting at his arm. His arms were pointed downward in gestures protecting his body from the attacking dog and on video, he had no visible weapon and shielded against the dog attack. Police shot and killed him. Media submitted the privately acquired heavily edited BWC footage that edited the killing out while police refuse to provide any video or reports at all. The initial police story was proven by video to be untruthful.

On August 10, 2023, at about 11:20 p.m., Atlanta PD was dispatched to the intersection of Cunningham Place and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard to investigate a traffic collision. A driver later identified as Johnny Hollman, age 62, of Atlanta, allegedly “became non-compliant” and the officer tried to arrest him. After a physical struggle, the officer used a Taser as Hollman continued to resist arrest. Police handcuffed him and realized he had died. He had been a local church deacon.

Georgia State troopers sawa motorcyclist going 100 mph in a 70-mph zone on Interstate 75 in Cobb County, swerving “in and out of traffic” and driving in the emergency lane at an “extremely high rate of speed,” police said. A trooper lost control of their vehicle and struck a guardrail and then another car traveling southbound. Both vehicles went off the right side of the highway before coming to a stop. On 03/20/2023, Officer Bustin Buzzella pursued motorist Ryan Griffin from Main Street in Dalton onto Robinson Road in Hinsdale. Sgt. Buzzarella claimed that he was chasing him because he felt Griffin may be impaired because the officer allegedly saw a stop sign violation, came to the conclusion to hunt the driver for possible DUI. Griffin was known to have a suspended license and this may have been the reason he fled when Buzzarella escalated a chase that ended when griffin hit a tree at high speed and died.
Sergeant Bustin Buzzarella had previously endangered drivers with reckless speeding and months before this death had been warned that any more incidents would lead to his termination. At the time Sgt. Buzzarella hunted Ryan Griffin to death, it had been his third unpermitted reckless high-speed chase in a span of several months. It was noted that he escalated the hunt on Griffin during very rainy dangerous conditions for a stop sign violation.
“I find that, by choosing to continue the pursuit after the operator increased his speed on wet and windy roads, Sgt. Buzzella created an avoidable risk of harm to the public. Based on these circumstances, there was no justification to commence a high-speed pursuit”, said police chief Deanna Strout.
Chief Strout also said that investigation showed that he had misstated facts and mischaracterized Griffin’s actions and “falsely reported the improper actions of this vehicle to justify pursuing it.”
Chief Strout terminated Sgt. Buzzarella after causing Griffin’s avoidable death, speaking out against his reckless driving and also falsification of records, apparently to cover it. Buzzarella filed a long-term disability claim against the city and is on disability pay, possibly to circumvent the firing by the unusually outspoken police chief. Buzzella has also been placed on the Brady List for the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, meaning he should not be called for witness testimony without prior approval.

An eyewitness says she saw a truck hit another truck and then drive off at 280 between Groover Hill and Olive Branch in Bryan County for hours Thursday night when the driver fled after the accident. Police chased the vehicle and driver Herman stopped the car after a short pursuit. Thedeputy approached Herman’s door and spoke with him before attempting to place handcuffs on him. Herman sped off while the officer was still reaching inside the car and he was dragged about one-tenth of a mile where the car then hit a road sign and began to travel off the roadway down a steep embankment. Troopers claim the driver and passenger were throwing drugs out of the window. Pickens County deputies were called to the home on the 200 block of Jay Moss Lane in Talking Rock, Georgia shortly before midnight for a fire and the sound of shots being fired.Deputies found the house on fire and met the homeowner, Frank Jerry Millsapps, holding with a shotgun. Millsapps began walking toward the deputy. The officer fired and so did Millsapps. Millsapps was shot and died in his driveway.

According to his family, Roy Streat, 78, was walking down the street heading home when he was shot and killed by Nicholls PD. Police allege that he had pointed a gun at them and offered this as explanation for the fatal shooting. Per family, he often walked alone and armed, not uncommon in rural Georgia. It is unknown what caused police to “fear for their lives” as no BWC was provided and no eyewitnesses came forward.
