On 02/04/2021, officers were searching for Dontae Green after he allegedly shot at officers at a grocery store in North Baltimore due to a dispute over his paycheck. Green was wanted on 19 charges, including attempted murder, armed robbery, and handgun violations. While police were clearing a residence associated with Green in the 1400 block of N. Mount Street, he allegedly fired at them from inside a closet. Officers returned fire, resulting in Green's death. During the incident, one deputy U.S. Marshal was seriously injured.
