Event : Killed in Joel Osteen’s church by 2 off-duty officers after firing rifle in church

A woman with a 5-year-old boy entered Joel Osteen’s megachurch between services with a long rifle and began shooting. She did not hit anything. Two off-duty officers were at the church and fired shots, killing her and apparently also injuring the child who was hospitalized in unknown condition. A 57-year-old man was also injured.

Amarillo PD were called to a disturbance, found a man who engaged in a shootout with them. The man locked himself in a shed and SWAT and CIRT were called who brought drones, robots and K9s. Pedro Armendariz was in the shed when police used a Lenco BearCat to tear down the side of the shed. Armendariz emerged and was shot and killed by police.
