On August 9, 2024, US Marshals, assisted by an unnamed task force and the Anaheim Police Department, attempted to arrest Victor Antonio Delgadillo at the intersection of La Palma Avenue and State College Boulevard in Anaheim. Delgadillo, who was wanted for a homicide in Iowa, was confronted by officers while they were serving a search warrant. Following the interaction, Delgadillo was shot and later pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. Police also discovered a firearm at the scene. On January 1, 2024, at approximately 2:04 p.m., the Saline County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) notified the Arkansas State Police (ASP) of a high-speed pursuit involving a white 1996 BMW driven by Aaron T. Watson, 35, of Hot Springs. The vehicle was traveling on the Interstate 30 service road near the 128-mile marker in Benton. An ASP Trooper employed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver on Interstate 30 near the University Avenue exit in Little Rock, ending the pursuit. Watson fired at law enforcement officers, who returned fire, striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No ASP Troopers or Benton Police officers were injured.
