During a traffic stop in Cleveland County, OK, Kameron Jenkins allegedly shot a deputy in the face. Gwaun Frierson, a construction worker nearby, was shot and killed by a stray bullet. Police avoided saying whose bullet killed Frierson during the shootout. Kameron Jenkins fled and a massive national manhunt ensued for several days with US Marshals and numerous law enforcement agencies hunting for him. After a grid search, he was found dead, having committed suicide under police duress.
Kameron Jenkins was one of two people killed in a series of incidents. Gwaun Frierson was also killed during the first traffic stop and is entered separately.

On 02/28/2023 at approximately 1:45 p.m., New Jersey State Police troopers and U.S. Marshals located 29-year-old Kyle Foggy in the Clara Barton Service Area on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike in Pedricktown, Salem County while officers were attempting to apprehend him in connection with a murder investigation. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office later determined that Foggy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound sustained in the presence of law enforcement. He was transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, where he was pronounced dead later that night. The Attorney General’s Office Integrity Bureau continued its review of the incident. On 09/27/2022, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force identified a wanted person in Roanoke County vehicle traffic and initiated a traffic stop near Crossbow Court off Route 220. As task force members approached the vehicle, they heard a single gunshot. Task force members found Joshua R. Donahue with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. On 09/22/2022, deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, along with U.S. Marshals, were serving a murder warrant on Hidden Ridge Lane in Cordova when a barricade situation developed. Officers heard a gunshot from inside the residence and evacuated nearby homes while SWAT and negotiators responded. Around 4 a.m., responders entered the home and found 36-year-old Joe Wilhite dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
