Per St. Louis PD, their officers were chasing a Kia that had allegedly stolen something from Dollar General. When stop sticks were deployed, the Kia went into North City and crashed into a Blue Infiniti G35. The St. Louis Metro PD then took over the case and reported that third party motorist Jerome Hightowerwhose car the police chase had crashed into had died.
Bystanders said they saw kids being taken out of the Kia after the crash. A police report stated there were two 3-year-olds inside the car at the time of the police chase and crash. The children and two other adults who were inside the car at the time were listed in stable condition following the incident. Jerome Hightower, the driver of the car who was hit by the chase, died.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop due to an outstanding warrant. Tedarrius Smith allegedly refused to stop and drove to a dead end where police allege that he exited the vehicle armed with a gun and pointed it at them. Deputies shot and killed him in a grassy area under the bridge near the Collegeville public housing community in the 3000 block of 30th Court North.
Family members of the slain man stood near his body which was draped in a white sheet. Visibly upset, his mother and others insisted the slain 28-year-old did not have a weapon or fire any shots. They also said they believe his wife falsely accused him of kidnapping. He had been a father of nine children.

On April 4, 2023, Houston PD officers with the North Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team were conducting surveillance at 2900 Broad Haven Drive on a possible robbery. Dontel Thompson was seen entering a business and robbing employees at gunpoint. Dontel Thompson exited the business with a gun in his hand, jumping a fence into a nearby neighborhood. As officers attempted to arrest Thompson, officer Devin Inocencio exited his patrol vehicle as Thompson was running toward him with a pistol in his hand. Officer Inocencio shot and killed him.

Trotwood PD and SWAT were called on a shots fired call around 5 p.m. in the 1400 block of Swinger Drive, off Gardendale Avenue and north of Hoover Avenue. A person said that a man was firing a gun inside of a home. Police arrived, heard more shots and asked neighbors to shelter in place or evacuate. After police had created a SWAT standoff for several hours, they forcibly entered and found a man dead from self-inflicted gunshot wound, believed to have committed suicide under police duress. Police did not publicly identify the man.

Highway Patrol officials set up a license checkpoint at US 52 and Holly Springs Road. Two people on motorcycles evaded the checkpoint. A chasewas escalated by North Carolina Highway Patrol with speeds up to 150 mph to Cook School Road and US 52 when the motorcyclists crashed into each other, went off to the left and hit trees in the area.
Patrick Alexander Dannemiller of Winston-Salem was killed. Another man involved in the crash was also injured.

On Friday around 8:58 a.m.,the Craig PD tried to make contact with a man outside the Cool Water Grille on Victory Way in Craig. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said Christopher Rothermund who was wanted for a $100 municipal bond, ran from police. Officers allege he had a firearm and officers Daniel Molina and Kurtis Luster fired shots at him. He died shortly thereafter.
