Police responded to a disturbance. With Edris Marrero yelling at a woman in a parking lot and banging on her windows. Police arrived and “lightly” punched him. He died. The officer alleged self-defense. Marrero was unarmed and at age 75, he succumbed to being punched by police.

Ashton Jashod Mingle died Sunday in a single-vehicle accident during a high-speed car chase initiated the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office after a failed traffic stop.

Police said Mingle was driving on a suspended license and was wanted on a felony warrant. Officer Walden escalated a chase that ended when As Mingle approached the Bulloch-Candler line, near Lotts Creek, accelerated and struck a bridge that caused his vehicle to crash into the water.

Black said deputies jumped into the water, freed Mingle from his crashed vehicle and took measures to attempt to revive Mingle that proved unsuccessful. Mingle, 27, was pronounced deceased after the arrival of EMS.

Garfield Heights officers tried to stop a speeding 2018 Infiniti SUV, which was later determined to be stolen but the vehicle sped off from Garfield Heights police before it crashed into two other cars.
Cameron Crews, a 26-year-old Maple Heights man, was a third party motorist in the 2009 Chevy that was struck by the vehicle being chased. Crews died at the scene.

A man shot and killed Dylan Jimenez after an argument at the Heritage hotel where they lived. His mother was with him as he was dying from the gunshot. Orange County deputies arrived and saw Dylan’s brother, Bryan Hernandez, pick up a gun to try to protect himself and his family as the shooter was still nearby. Police drove up, saw him with a gun and killed him before learning what was going on. The mother and family attorney stress that he only held a gun for protection after his brother had just been killed but he did not use it, never threatened the deputies or anyone and was gunned down within seconds of police arriving. Both brothers died in shootings back to back. Only Bryan Richardson is represented here as his brother was killed by a third party prior to police arriving while Bryan was directly killed by police.

Thadius Wilder, a 35-year-old father of five from Passaic, was found drowned after last being seen running from police. His sister said that he was sitting on a bench at the Passaic public housing project on Aspen Place when two uniformed officers approached him with an arrest warrant for dealing drugs.
Wilder ran, apparently afraid of going back to prison. Police never searched the river nearby. Wilder’s sister found eyewitnesses who said he had “ended up in the water.” She told police who denied this possibility. Community members searched for him and saw his body floating in the river. The family had to notify police who had refused to search the river. His body was retrieved later but the family had been left to search for him without help from police.

Hall County deputies went to a residential address on the 3200 block of Long Creek Drive in Buford to serve a warrant on Thang Duc Doan for a welfare check and possibly a missing person. When police arrived, they allege that Doan had a knife. They shot and killed him. His live-in partner and her daughter were found dead in the home.

Las Cruces PD responded to a call about a man allegedly shoplifting a single beer. When police arrived, they allege Presley Eze was not complying with undisclosed commands. Police launched a tactical attack and ultimately shot and killed him. The bodycam was blurred for the critical incident and useless as evidence. After the shooting, a second officer arrived and began an investigation and silenced him multiple times while on BWC. The footage is linked below. Meridian PD attempted a traffic stop on 34-year-old Ruben Garcia who was seen driving erratically and without headlights near the corner of Meridian Road and East Central Drive. Police allege that Garcia took off and they began chasing Garcia, also engaging Kuna PD who joined the chase. A Kuna officer put down spike strips and Garcia drove around them, crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck. Garcia died. The 28-year-old pickup truck driver, Jonathan Calderon, of Boise, who was taken to a local hospital before being pronounced dead.

Lorain PD were allegedly serving a warrant to arrest Charles White. Police claim that he had a knife and had attacked a police dog and attacked police. Police shot and killed him.

The bodycam video shows a very different scenario. Police had entered his home and chased him into the basement. White ran and was torn to the ground by an aggressive attacking police K9 dog. Police allege that he lacerated the dog with a knife but an attack on the dog or police is not seen on the video. Instead, White is pulled down and continually bitten by an excited barking Belgian Malinois dog while its handler opens fire on White on the ground, shooting and killing him.
