Nicholas S. Lassiter was at his mother’s home and did not get along with her boyfriend. A disturbance evolved and police were called. When they arrived, Lassiter fired a shot at the officer, injuring him. He was shot and killed. His brother stated that he had never been a violent person, that the event was not something police should have been called for and that his mother witnessed the killing and said he had been cornered in the kitchen when he fired a shot.

On Dec. 27, 2022 Missouri Highway patrol chased what they felt may be an intoxicated driver until the chase ended in a fiery crash at a roundabout at 72nd Street and Overland Drive in Platte County. Genie Howard died. Family members said the wreck happened on the driver’s birthday and family very much question the police narrative based on eyewitness stories they heard. Genie Howard had spent some time in prison and was very proud that he had received his GED and was valedictorian. His life had gone in a positive direction. Relatives said they were frantically trying to get in touch with Genie Howard and when they received no answer, they began calling around and found out he had crashed and been taken to a burn unit. His mother said the burns covered 70% of his body including his face. The family said no one had notified them. The family said they only learned from hospital staff that Highway Patrol had been involved in his death. It took three days for Genie Howard to die. Family remain very skeptical of the police narrative, particularly due to the lack of information they received.

Stanley Davis Jr., a 13-year-old student, was on his dirt bike as a police officer chased him into a fatal crash when the officer claimed he was riding “recklessly”.
“It is clear as day that the young man was targeted,” one woman at the support rally for Stanley Davis said. “Thirteen years old, honor roll student just simply trying to get home. It is not fair.”

On December 25, 2022, Gabriel Navarro, 25, was killed in a crash when a speeding San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy crashed into him near the intersection of National Trails Highway and Hibiscus Street in Oro Grande. Navarro was driving his Chevrolet Impala and was reportedly involved in a high-speed collision with the deputy's patrol vehicle. The crash caused Navarro's car to overturn and catch fire, with Navarro being ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver drove onto the northbound Highway 37. Officers chased the vehicle on Highway 37 into Quitman and later shot the person for unclear reasons near Highway 154 and Highway 37, officials said. Turlock PD allege that Brown had robbed a store at gunpoint at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Lander Avenue of Turlock. On 12/19/2022 around 12:25 am, a Danville Police Officer was on Main St when he observed a black colored Mercedes sedan driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The officer turned his vehicle around to conduct a traffic stop. The Mercedes quickly turned onto Griffin St and crashed the vehicle into the front porch of a residence in the 300 block of N. Griffin St. The Mercedes reversed away from the residence and the driver drove through the front yard and back onto Griffin St and then turned onto Seminary St. The officer observed the driver failed to stop at the red light at Seminary St and Bowman Ave and the Mercedes continued through the intersection. The officer was slowing down and stopping at the red light when he observed the Mercedes appeared to go airborne in the 800 block of Seminary St. The officer proceeded through the intersection at Seminary St and Bowman Ave and observed the Mercedes had left the roadway and struck a tree in the 800 block of Seminary St. Jonathon Connor Gilbert had died in the crash. The vehicle had been stolen.

Guillermo Medina, a father of three, was shot and killed by police on Dec. 18, 2022. The family said the unarmed Medina was jogging away from the scene of a car accident where he had wrecked his car. As he was leaving, an officer shot him in the back with a “military-style” rifle.
